Beautiful views. Would suggest stopping at the Luftee lookout. This lookout had the best views on the whole road. We spent a half hour taking in the view from this lookout and the ever changing co… Full review by Tc T

We loved driving the "Gap" road over the mountains!! So much fun and excellent views! They have several pull off areas where you can get out and take breathtaking pictures!!! Highly recommend! Full review by CoopJen

The parking lot for the overlook is relative bigger, we circled the parking lot twice and found a parking spot. The scenery is great, you can the blue smoky mountains here. Full review by LisaMNUSA

As long as the park is open then you can drive up to Newfound Gap. Theres a TN/NC side marker for pictures. There's also restrooms.

45 minutes is very accurate. You did not state your vacation dates so be aware that Clingmans Dome Road closes for the winter season around 12/3/18
