Fire crews this morning rescued a dog from the rubble of the Haymarket home that exploded last week -- she is going to be fine.

A dog thought to have been dead following a house explosion survived six days in the rubble of their house. Brandy, the five-year-old rescue pup, was reunited with her family on Monday, Oct. 21.

Fire crews were called to the back of the scene of the home on the 5900 block of Colby Hunt Court Monday morning for a report of a barking dog in the debris. Crews at the scene immediately heard the dog under an area of the collapsed home and worked to save it.
