Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto's new cabinet consists of a mix of professional and political appointees with some names remaining on the job after serving for Prabowo's predecessor, Joko Widodo.

Prabowo Subianto has been sworn in as Indonesia's eighth president. This completes his journey from an ex-general accused of rights abuses during the dark days of Indonesia’s military dictatorship to the presidential palace.

In succeeding Joko Widodo to the presidency, Prabowo is expected to take a more hands-on and personal approach to major policy areas.
