Power outages were reported in Lee County after Hurricane Milton made its way across Florida. Approximately 50,000 utilities crewmembers are in Florida working to restore power as quickly as possible, Gov. Ron DeSantis said in a press conference Thursday.

Scott cautioned residents to stay inside, not walk through standing water and not to touch powerlines. "It's still dangerous," he reminded people.

Lee County officials have issued mandatory evacuations for Zones A and B, effective at noon Monday, due to the threat of life-threatening storm surge from Hurricane Milton. The storm is forecasted to bring a surge of 5-10 feet along the coastline and up the rivers.

Hurricane Milton is headed for the west coast of Florida, and right now, it's not clear where it will hit – but at least one evacuation in Lee County has already been announced.
