The air quality in Delhi's Anand Vihar, Bawana, Jahangirpuri and Vivek Vihar was recorded in the 'severe' category on Wednesday. On Tuesday, the AQI was 'severe' only in Anand Vihar.

A thick layer of fog was seen in Anand Vihar, Kalkaji, Nehru Place, and Akshardham Temple localities among other places in the national capital, as the city’s air quality dropped to 385 at 8 am today.

Toxic foam was also seen floating in the Yamuna River at Kalindi Kunj as pollution levels continued to rise. A similar foam was spotted in the river in the past few days, highlighting rising pollution.
