The Los Angeles Dodgers have been named a popular potential landing spot for Atlanta Braves free agent left-handed starter Max Fried this offseason. If Fried signed with the Dodgers, he would join former Braves teammate Freddie Freeman in Los Angeles.

One player who could be a great fit for the Braves in this case is New York Mets starter Luis Severino. He had a 3.91 ERA across 31 starts for the Mets and bounced back in a major way after a down year in 2023 with the New York Yankees.

The Braves may need to replace Max Fried with a pitcher who would actually perform with the season on the line.
