It's that time of the year when the national capital typically struggles against an alarming air quality. In view of the rising Air Quality Index (AQI), authorities have raised the car parking charges to discourage the use of vehicles on the city's roads.

The air quality of Delhi further worsened on Wednesday as a thick layer of smog enveloped the national capital in the morning amid rising pollution levels. The air quality of Delhi remained in the ‘very poor’ category with an overall AQI recorded at 363 in the morning.

As the air quality worsened in the Delhi-NCR region, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) invoked stage two of the anti-pollution plan GRAP.
