Area schools compete at Bands of America in Indy
Several area high school marching bands competed Friday and Saturday, with some earning distinctions. Goshen Crimson Marching Band, Fairfield Marching Pride, Pride of Plymouth, Wawasee Marching Warrior Pride and The Pride of Elkhart all headed south Friday to compete in the Bands of America (BOA) Super Regional prelims at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Marching bands compete in Indianapolis Super Regional Championship
INDIANAPOLIS — 88 high school marching bands from seven states are competing in the Bands of America Indianapolis Super Regional Championship at Lucas Oil Stadium this weekend. Terre Haute North Vigo High School seniors Michael Barnett and Oliver Staley-Henne are among the 13,000 musicians participating in the event.
Illinois marching bands are headed to the 2024 BOA Super Regional in Indianapolis
For two days, high school marching bands from across the region (and a few from beyond) will be in Indianapolis for the two day Bands of America Super Regional. Several Illinois bands are on the schedule. More than 110 bands also will come to downtown Indy in mid-November for the 2024 Bands of America Grand National Championships.
Five Hamilton County high school marching bands to compete at this weekend’s Super Regional Championship
This weekend, Oct. 18 and 19, high school marching band students from eight states will perform at the Army ROTC Bands of America Indianapolis Super Regional Championship, presented by Yamaha, at Lucas Oil Stadium. Five Hamilton County high school bands will participate: Westfield, Hamilton Southeastern, Fishers, Carmel, and Noblesville.
