After offering its customers free NACS adapters for Tesla's Superchargers, Ford is telling its customers to stop using them, according to a service bulletin spotted by InsideEVs. Ford has issued an urgent bulletin advising EV owners to immediately stop using Tesla Supercharger adapters provided by the company.

Ford will send free replacements for its NACS adapter, which it says could slow or damage some of its EV customers’ charging ports.

Ford recently sent out free charging adapters to help EV customers transition to Tesla's NACS "Supercharger" standard. The automaker now says that some of these adapters are faulty and must be replaced.

Some Ford owners are being told to stop using their Tesla Supercharger adapter until a replacement can be shipped.

Ford's EV customers gained access to Tesla's supercharger network using the adapters in February 2024, and many other EV manufacturers shortly followed.
