Joan T.A. Gabel named 19th University of Pittsburgh chancellor
Apr 3, 2023 · Joan Gabel, president and chief executive of the University of Minnesota System and Twin Cities campus, will become the University of Pittsburgh’s 19th chancellor, Pitt’s Board of Trustees announced Monday. Gabel will be the first woman to lead the University since its founding in 1787.
