Dual monitor set up / both monitors displaying same screen
Nov 11, 2020 · Any window I open appears on both monitors and the mouse cursor appears and moves the same on both screens. Its as if the computer perceives both monitors as being one monitor. In display settings when I click detect it says it cannot detect another monitor. In advanced settings in only lists one display "Display 1: KA272."

The icons are also much larger than they were before. No programs were added or removed, literally just happened after restarting my computer.

Sep 20, 2011 · Dual Monitors - Keep extended mode when close laptop lid. I want to be able to close my laptop lid, and NOT have all video revert to single monitor mode. I want it to work as if I was turning one monitor in a two monitor setup off. Nothing moves, nothing recalibrates, and it doesn't revert to a laptop with a single monitor plugged into it.

Mar 17, 2015 · I recently bought a new laptop - a Lenovo E550 i5-5200 8MB Ram with AMD Radeon R7 M265 graphics running Windows 8.1 64 bit. I have an external monitor - Dell G2210 connected via VGA cable. At random intervals every 2-10 minutes, the screen goes black for 2-3 seconds then comes back on again. sometimes this can happen several times in succession.

Apr 9, 2023 · It is Windows 11 that is the main culprit. Had Windows 10 running properly for years on this laptop with dual external monitors (HDMI and VGA) without docking station. Removed existing HDD (just in case) and insert new HDD, install Windows 11 on new HDD. Here is when the problem starts. It will only work with one external monitor.
